Professional Services Disclaimer:

Mari Williams of Mari Williams Astrology provides services within her professional capacity as an astrologer. Her services do not replace or claim to offer treatments for medical, legal, or financial conditions that require specialized attention. Mari Williams does not offer legal, medical, or financial advice outside her expertise, and her services are not substitutes for professional counseling. Clients may be referred to qualified professionals as needed. By using Mari Williams' services, you agree not to hold her legally responsible for any actions taken following her guidance.

Confidentiality:

Any information shared during consultations will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed without your explicit consent, except as required by law. Physical files are securely stored, and your contact information will remain private, in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Payment and Appointment Policy:

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment, as 90% of the preparation for your reading is completed before our meeting. Your appointment begins at the agreed time and lasts for the full duration. If you have payment concerns, please contact Mari to discuss options such as payment plans or sliding scale fees. Appointments without full payment will be canceled within 24 hours to maintain availability for other clients.

Cancellation, No-Shows, and Refunds:

Clients can book or reschedule appointments up to 48 hours in advance. If you need to cancel or reschedule, 48 hours’ notice is required via email, limited to one cancellation/reschedule per reading. However, in cases of illness, emergencies, or other urgent situations, clients may reschedule once without penalty if they provide timely notice up to 72 hours after the missed appointment. Please notify Mari Williams via email only, not social media.

Refunds for cancellations are issued minus a deposit fee of 50% of the total amount, the booking fee, and any fees incurred during the refund process. Canceling within 48 hours before your appointment, not showing up at the agreed time, and/or submitting incorrect birth data forfeits your payment and appointment. See below for client responsibilities.

Cancellations made at least three days before a scheduled appointment will receive a full refund. Repeated cancellations within this refundable period may result in payment processing fees being deducted from the refund.

Cancellations made up to 48 hours before a scheduled reading can be rescheduled once. Cancellations made less than 48 hours but up to 24 hours before a scheduled reading can also be rescheduled once, subject to a $35 late cancellation fee. Otherwise, fees are non-refundable.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a scheduled reading, no-shows, or excessive lateness (beyond 10 minutes for a 30-45 minute service; 15 minutes for a 1-hour service; and 20 minutes for services over 1 hour) result in forfeiture of the service and fees. Rescheduling under these conditions requires purchasing a new service. If affordability is an issue, a rescheduling fee of $55 applies, provided you contact Mari within 72 hours of the missed appointment.

If Mari Williams must cancel an appointment, she will offer to reschedule at your convenience or provide a full refund, giving as much notice as possible. 

Not responding to communications from Mari in a timely fashion, sending incomplete responses, and/or submitting incorrect birth data could result in cancellation and increment of fees. 
Raffle donations, fundraiser readings, and bookings through and held at The Jacquelyn are not transferable to another date, time, or person; all donations are final and non-refundable. 

Mari Williams reserves the right to cancel and refund any payment for any reason and if she cannot meet your needs.

Client Responsibilities:

Double check Your Birth Data: Please double-check your birth data before submitting it. Incorrect birth data forfeits your payment and appointment since preparation is done prior to the reading. If you do not have an accurate birth time, contact Mari before booking. Purchasing a reading without making prior contact about this can result in a full refund minus booking and administrative fees – see above.

The "greater Sacramento area" includes locations within a 20-mile radius of Downtown Sacramento, 95814.

Mari Williams Astrology adheres to the CCPA regulations, ensuring that personal information is collected, used, and shared according to the guidelines set forth by the CCPA. You have the right to request access to, deletion of, and information about your personal data. For any such requests, please contact Mari Williams via the contact details provided on the website.

Data Rights and Requests:

Under the CCPA, you have the right to request the following:

1. The categories of personal information collected about you.

2. The categories of sources from which your personal information is collected.

3. The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling your personal information.

4. The categories of third parties with whom your personal information is shared.

5. The specific pieces of personal information collected about you.

6. Deletion of personal information collected from you (subject to certain exceptions).

7. Disclosure of personal information sold and the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. 

To exercise any of these rights, please submit a verifiable consumer request by contacting Mari Williams via the contact details provided on the website. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

Security Measures:

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error-free. Please be cautious about the information you share in this manner.
